To understand how temperature affected size and biovolumetric growth, repeated measurements of the mean size feature, equivalent spherical diameter (ESD), were recorded for each experimental replicate culture of Heterosigma akashiwo across a broad range of temperature treatments. These data were collected as part of the experiment designed to study the effect of changing temperature on phytoplankton growth rates.
